Después de varias semanas de estar prestando servicio a la población, fue inaugurado el hospital primario del municipio de La Dalia, que prestará servicio a unas 65,500 personas del campo y de la ciudad, aseguró la ministra de Salud, doctora Sonia Castro. La construcción del hospital tiene un costo de 46 millones 430 mil córdobas, la que fue posible mediante un préstamo otorgado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). El nuevo hospital vendrá a resolver los problemas de salud de miles de pobladores de Rancho Grande, Waslala y Cua. La ministra de Salud señaló que este hospital vendrá a reducir la mortalidad materna, ya que casi 2,000 mujeres embarazadas serán atendidas en él. Por su parte, el alcalde de El Tuma-La Dalia, Maryan Ruiz, manifestó que la construcción del hospital fue algo que pedía la población para atender sus necesidades básicas de salud. Antes, los habitantes de La Dalia tenían que viajar de emergencia hasta el hospital de Matagalpa.

After many weeks of offering services to the population, the Municipality of La Dalia´s primary hospital, which will offer services to some 65,500 people in both rural and urban areas, was inaugurated, according to the Minster of Health, Dr. Sonia Castro.  The construction of the hospital cost 46,430,000 cordobas, which was made possible by the Interamerican Bank of Development.  The new hospital will solve health problems for thousands of residents of Rancho Grande, Waslala, and Cua.  The Minister of Health said that this hospital should reduce maternal mortality, and already almost 2000 pregnant women will have been attended in it.  For his part, the Mayor of El Tume-La Dalia, Maryan Ruiz, said that the construction of the hospital was something that the population asked for to attend to its basic health needs.  Before, the residents of La Dalia had to travel to the hospital in Matagalpa for emergencies.
