My host mom prepared a traditional Nicaraguan dish called Baho last weekend. Here’s what you’ll need to recreate its awesomeness:
- Platano leaves
- Guayavo leaves
- Platano maduros
STEP 1: Collect some big-ass leaves (de platano).
STEP 2: Put said leaves in a pot, add platanos and yucca.
STEP 3: Add stuff.
STEP 4: It should look like this:
STEP 5: Cover it up.
STEP 6: Cook over fire for three hours.
STEP 7: Serve.
STEP 8: Eat with ensalada de repollo (kind of like coleslaw, but with normal salad dressing).
